Queen’s University Belfast

Thomas graduated from Queen’s University Belfast in 2022 with a 1st Class Masters in Mechanical Engineering. During his degree, Thomas completed a year in industry at Denroy.

During his years in education, Thomas completed a range of internships which included, vehicle modelling, CAD design for manufacture and cloud based additive manufacturing. While at QUB, Thomas was part on the Queen’s Formula Student team which competes in FSUK. In this team, Thomas was involved with the design and manufacture of the bodywork and the team’s first electrical powertrain and also virtual vehicle modelling to perform optimisation of the suspension setup for optimal performance. In his final year, Thomas was the Design and Manufacture team lead which involved managing the CAD database and providing assistance to other students during the design and manufacture process.

Thomas is starting his PhD study in October 2022 on Bio-inspired Generative Design as part of the Biohaviour team.
