Caitlin graduated with a first-class degree in MEng Mechanical Engineering from Queen’s University of Belfast in 2023. During her degree, she completed an industrial placement within the automation team at the Northern Ireland Technology Centre (NITC), where she gained valuable insight and first-hand experience with automation and Industry 4.0. Her final year project involved finite element modelling of composite structures and simulation automation through Python scripting in Abaqus.
Caitlin joined the RIED Project and started her PhD in October 2023, focused on understanding uncertainties in future human-machine engineering systems and how they affect these systems.
